To Do's for the Organizer

Since we don't know whether your group gift is a surprise, the personalities of the contributors, or the relationship you have with the recipient, there are some things we advise you as an organizer to do:

During the Event

Personally remind contributors. Contributors may be happy to give, but may have missed the notifications eDivvy sends out on your behalf, or may have forgotten. We are sensitive to our customer's privacy, and have to balance how many notifications we send out. Sometimes you may need to add your personal touch.

After the Contribution Deadline

If the group gift is being delivered to the recipient directly, please inform them that there is a surprise group gift on its way. Let them know which merchant they should expect a delivery from. (see Organizer Actions after contribution deadline).

Send the eCard Link to the Recipient so the recipient can say thank you to those who contributed.

Although eDivvy will post a message on the Event’s message board, to minimize the perception of spam to your participants, we do not notify the group at this point. As a result, we recommend the organizer to let the group know the Gift(s) have been shipped.
