Description

Glass Blowing allows you the ability to create art with a medium that has multiple malleable stages, gorgeous unique color options and an artistic horizon that can take on many shapes, sizes and everyday applications.

This exclusive Cloud 9 Living experience will introduce you to the fun and exciting world of glass blowing.

You will begin your experience with an informative tour of all the stations that heat, grind, polish and cool the glass. Then sit down for a sample of all the tools used to work with this fun element; blow pipes, punti, a jack, tweezers, diamond sheers, hard wood blocks and more.

Watch a demonstration to show you the steps of making a paperweight then grab your colors and enjoy making your own masterpiece!

After you have finished your one of a kind paperweight, you will watch the demonstration of how to make a glass bowl and then return to your station to make one of your own.

After your glass blowing experience, peruse the adjacent art gallery to see all the endless possibilities of the new art form you are now familiar with.

Essential Information
Participants must be at least 16 years of age. Price includes the cost of a bench that can hold up to 3 students per bench.

This is a fantastic class for those wanting to learn the art of glass blowing and for those looking for something cool to do for a half day.

Participants
Student to teacher ratio is 3:1 - the studio can hold up to 12 students, 3 per bench.

Weather
This experience is not weather dependent

What to Wear
Natural fibered clothing, like cotton long sleeve shirts and jeans. Close toed shoes, eye safety glasses or sunglasses.

Booking Information
For this experience, it is recommended to request bookings at least 14 days in advance.

Cancellation Policy
Once you have received a booking confirmation, cancellations and rescheduling are allowed up to 14 days prior to the Experience. Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel and reschedule at least 14 days prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your Experience.
