DescriptionThis beginner sailing course for youth’s aged 11-18 is designed to teach the fundamentals of sailing and boat handling so that you can take your skills to the next level.
During the 2 week course, you will meet four days per week. Each session will be taught be our US Sailing certified instructors aboard Club 420 sailboats. You will learn skills such as rigging the boat, knot-tying, tacking and gybing, and landing at the dock or buoy.
Students are encouraged to take this course more than once, as they will be offered new opportunities such as learning new boat handling skills and an introduction to racing.

No prior sailing experience is necessary in order to take this course.ParticipantsThere is a maximum of 12 people per class.WeatherThis experience is weather dependent. Please contact the experience provider for up to date weather conditions.What to WearDress for the weather. Remember that it may be a bit cooler on the water. You may also want to wear a hat, sunglasses, and bring sunscreen for protection from the sun. Please no dark soled shoes.Booking InformationFor this experience, it is recommended to request bookings at least 14 days in advance. Cancellation PolicyOnce you have received a booking confirmation, cancellations and rebooking are allowed up to 14 days prior to the Experience. Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel and rebook at least 14 days prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your Experience.
