Blind Start of America (BLINDSTART) is an award-winning 501(c) 3 non-profit organization with the mission to help blind and visually impaired persons learn and develop job skills to empower them to lead lives of independence. BLINDSTART is one of the fastest growing non-profit organizations in the country. We vow to bring Awareness and Education throughout America with our niche "Visionary Experience...Blindfolded!" events, sharing the challenges of the Blind community while having fun!

This year, BLINDSTART celebrates the 20th anniversary of the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and introduces a new project called the "50/50 Home Promise Plan" where we will identify 50 qualified disabled Americans, pair them with 50 employers, and place them on a career track and home ownership path.

On June 4, 2011 - 24 Teams representing the 501(c) 3 non-profit organization Blind Start of America (BLINDSTART) will run Blind or Blindfolded at Camp Pendleton’s World Famous Mud Run. Your donation will help fund our 50/50 Home Promise Plan to increase Gainful Work Employment and Home Ownership for Disabled Americans. We thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support!
